Tiara's story
Tiaraoluwa is a 10-month-old baby girl. In September 2026, at 9 months old, she was brought to hospital in Osogbo with fever and breathing problems. Her heart condition makes feeding tiring and difficult for her, despite the family's care.
On 24 September 2026 an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) at Biket Medical Centre, Cardiac Consultation Unit, Osogbo first found her heart condition: truncus arteriosus, a large hole in her heart and severe high blood pressure in her lungs. Lifeline Hospital, Osogbo then referred her to the paediatric cardiologist at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
On 26 October 2026 a referral cardiac CT scan at ABUAD Multi System Hospital, Ado Ekiti, confirmed the diagnosis. Her doctors recommend open-heart surgery, which will be done at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.
The cost is far beyond what our family can carry alone. Every naira, every prayer and every share brings Tiara closer to a healthy heart. Thank you.
